I'm not a lawyer, but appeals usually deal with actions taken inside of a courtroom. If the Chauvin verdict is overturned because of what jurors may have heard in media reports (which they were admonished to not read, watch, or listen to), every high profile criminal trial that ends in conviction will play that card in the future. It's a slippery slope, especially since sequestration does not ensure jurors would not have access to media reports. How do we effectively cut them off from all forms of outside communications?

The judge flat out told the defense they probably had been handed a good argument on appeal. You think that will not come up then?

It's inevitable... You can't use Mafia tactics to threaten jurors without retribution from the court

MSG Stan Hutchison - Why? You cannot fix stupid. Everyone believes what their politicians, entertainment people, sports people say, but never dig beyond the surface to actually verify the bullshit they say. They allow themselves to be led like sheep, and we all know what happens to sheep - they end up in the pot.
People have become convinced that they need the government, instead of the Government needs Us. We have the power, we always have had the power, who sits in the federal elected positions have no real power to do anything the States do not agree to, the real power has always been local and regional elections, but majority doesn't vote in the elections that have the power to make significant changes, instead they believe the federal government has the power and authoriity to force the states.

SSG Robert Perrotto - It is up to those that actually care about this nation to stand up and do whatever they can to preserve it.

SSG Robert Perrotto - I am an eternal optimist. I think there are enough people out there that actually do care and will not simply sit back and allow us to fail.
