An article that doesn't understand the 1st Amendment, talking about a study that doesn't understand the 1st Amendment, saying students don't understand the 1st Amendment. It isn't hard
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
CONGRESS has done none of these things. Meaning this is not a Constitutional matter. If students at a University are willing to use violence to prevent a speaker they don't agree with, then that is a contemptuous environment that the University has allowed. If Universities are panicked that the 1st Amendment is threatened they only have to look inward for breeding such a selfish attitude towards opinions.

Hear is the problem people think that the 1st amendment affects other people it does not it prevents the government from taking action not other. Now there are a lot of laws about the use of violence and violence is not protected by the 1st or any other.
