Survey: Do you want Arlington National Cemetery to encroach on the Marine Corps War Memorial?

When I was stationed there in 2013, there were many talks about expanding ANC. It has to and will happen. I wouldn't see it as encroaching on the memorial. The cemetery is for all services, so if it just so happens to expand in that direction, I wouldn't see a problem with it. The folks at ANC work diligently to keep it well maintained. The MCWM would be upkept to these same standards.

I don’t think of it as encroaching... it would enhance both memorials to honored dead.
But then the lesser services would want to add huge, gaudy memorials to Arlington so they wouldn’t feel left out. :-)

Its already only about 100 yds away as it is, it is literally across the street. Not to mention you have a set of row houses and the Carillion behind it, there is really no where to expand in that direction. the smart move would be to expand where the old navy annex was and to close/dig up the road leading from the Pentagon to Henderson Hall. But then the Air Force will get its panties in a wad for encroaching on the Air Force Memorial.
