A really fascinating slice of history. Isn't it interesting what a woman could achieve, even a oppressed minority woman, in a time when the greatest forces of oppression stood in their path. Maybe, just maybe, self limitation is the greatest form of oppression...

Susan is one of my female heroines, has been for many years. Living her on the edge of her life's "ground zero," Many of the places that were so pivotal in here life are a pleasant two- or three-hour drive away. I have visited every site I can to experience more of her powerful story. Wasté.
