I'm sorry you feel that way about the WWP and honestly they were not my first choice to benefit from this event. I agree that they spend to much on marketing and swag that I feel should go more towards people who need it, but this is my first attempt at a military fundraiser and I needed the brand recognition of WWP in order to create interest and attract sponsers and donatations. If I can get enough attendees to attempt a second annual event I would be interested in helping lesser known charities who have better ratings.

From a marketing perspective, I can understand that. Having said that, they already have a multi million dollar marketing machine, which is where a lot of your fundraising will go toward... If anything, they should foot the bill for the PR...
