In the article, it reads the US wants guarantees so called extremist groups like AQ will not launch attacks from Afghanistan.
The Taliban act just like AQ. The car bombings, targeting Christians, dress and worship codes... Whoever is helping the Taliban grow stronger with training and supplies, needs to be targeted post haste. IMO, Afghanistan is the perfect place for Islam to hide and grow while planning attacks on the rest of the world. Terrain matters.
It has always been important to know the enemy. Those the Taliban murder, tell us what they believe. It tells us a lot of what they think is correct. Why do we call them extreme? Are they not following their perfect man?
