Great theme; I'm currently re-watching "Cowboy Bebop".

SSgt Mark Lines Heh. I'm currently hooking my daughter on anime. We just got her "Akira" on BluRay for her birthday (and the fact that our VHS copy is damn near dead has nothing to do with it).

CW4 Guy Butler - I have a small list of Anime that I have watched. "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex", "Blue Gender", "Akira", and "Cowboy Bebop". The only one out of that list I do not have on some form of media is "Akira". I am open to any suggestions that you may have.

SSgt Mark Lines Based on what you've watched, I'd say "Eureka 7", "Patlabor", "Mudluv Alternative", and most of the "Macross" series would be good.

Might want to check out Crunchyroll and KissAnime websites as well - lots of anime catalogued by genre, and for the most part free.

CW4 Guy Butler Thank you for the recommendations. I will have to see if Crunchyroll and KissAnime will work for me here in Thailand, or if they are region locked.

It was a great show, probably one of my favorite anime. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood would always be my #1.

SrA Edward Vong My anime experience is limited. I have never watched Full Metal Alchemist before. I will have to check it out. Thank you for the recommendation.

Being an anime fan, I am very familiar with Yoko Kanno's work. She has an eccentric style, and this is probably her best.

LTC Paul Labrador Sir, I do not know who is my favorite Anime composer, her or Origa (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex). I like Origa's modern dance style, but I really enjoy Kanno's jazz. I do have to say that Tank! is a beast of a song to perform!

SSgt Mark Lines - Actually, most of Origa's anime vocal work was for songs that Yoko Kanno wrote.... ;o) Sad that she passed a few years ago.

LTC Paul Labrador I did not know that Yoko Kanno and Origa had such a relationship. I agree with you about Origa's passing. Even her non-Anime work was really good.
