Already happening in Seattle. Granted it's not $1000.00, but for EVERY gun sale there is a $25.00 "Fee" added to the sale and to ALL ammunition there is a $.02 for 22 Cal and smaller and $.05 on all other, PER round.
The fees were upheld by a King County judge, but there is, I believe an appeal on going to the State Supreme Court.

CPO Frank Coluccio - Yes, and so far this "fee" is restricted to within Seattle city limits, which is why gun stores are looking to relocate outside of Seattle.
