I've lived in several microcosms of American culture. Even when I lived in South Hollywood and Glendale, what I saw/lived did not come close to what I just listened to in the song. Having met people from the projects, I did see a bit of this. I know it exists. However, across more of America than just the inner city projects it really does not exist. We have a huge echo chamber. Several in fact. If you want to live in that chamber 24x7 it becomes your reality. One of the reasons I don't listen to just one genre of music, read one genre of books, stick to just the right or just the left political commentary.

I have to ask: Do you honestly believe that this is the prevailing attitude and temper of white Americans? Yes, I know there are some who feel this way, but I'm talking about the majority, the vast majority. Do you believe that they, the vast majority or even a significant minority feel this way?
