I'm assuming the people who opposed open carry ran for cover every time a security guard or law enforcement officer carried their weapons openly. As citizens we all have a responsibility to ensure public tranquility. Firearms are inanimate objects without feelings or the ability to reason. Being afraid of a gun is stupid. I carry concealed but it doesn't bother me in the least to see a firearm in public. And two months into this law, I have only seen one non-LEO Texas resident open carry.

I think a mix of Open/Concealed carry is healthy. It both reminds people that guns are out there, but also leaves uncertainty as to who is carrying concealed.

In the past two years, thankfully many of these businesses have seen how open carry is no big deal and taken down their signs.
