I do agree with the article and another concern I have is activist doctors, who are against guns, using red flag laws to prevent people from owning firearms for no legitimate reason.

Additionally, people with health/mental issues might be less inclined to seek help, fearing they might have their guns taken away. This could in turn prevent them from getting the help they need and eventually lead to more violent behavior.

Still, I think laws like this one needs to researched and considered. Mental health has been a common denominator for many of these gunmen.

If this goes through, anyone may anonymously finger you and you will be prevented from facing your accuser due to "safety concerns". The ability to face your accuser would of course cut back on those who would use the law for their own ends.

Seems many are missing the big elephant in the room and in doing so are not addressing the real root issue "why are individuals compelled to mass murder other individuals in the US".
Not sure if its SRRI drugs, ideology, exposure to violence or some sort of combination but something is not well in America.

Iceland has a rather large gun population, about 1 in 3, as well a large population on anti-depressants, SRRI's, but has close to zero violence. Not sure what all they are doing but feel culture is a considerable factor.

Blaming the gun without addressing the cause I fear will result in violence via homemade explosive devices.
