Okay, so here's what I'm seeing. A new squadron of CAS birds, headlined, of course, by the A-10, our premier CAS specialist. These lighter birds (OA-X) would be good supplement birds for more precise strikes that may not necessarily require the BOOM that the Hawg can bring.

Perhaps they halt the F-35 program and start funneling that money into this one, as well as to maintaining existing frames that desperately need maintenance to continue operating.
