My dad, Michael L McClure and my husband, Michael V Lynn are Vietnam Vets and I thank them for the sacrifices they made and how proud of them I am. My dad is no longer living but he knew that I understood his past better than my younger sister; because we had that military shared connection. There was many times that Dad just needed someone to talk to about the war and not judge him, just listen. I miss hearing his stories and know that he is with his friends in Heaven. I listen to my husband about his experiences also and try to help him anyway I can. It breaks my heart to hear and know what these men and women went through during that time and what they came home to. We as the younger generation and for all future generations need to respect and honor our elder veterans and listen to their stories; to pass on their knowledge and Not repeat the past. With that said I want to THANK EVERY VIETNAM VETERAN FOR THEIR SERVICE AND WELCOME HOME!!
