Only morons would assume membership based on a ball cap... but we're talking journalists (by definition, morons).

Sgt Wayne Wood no he had the hat, he must have been in the unit. I mean it is not like things like Ebay or Amazon would ever sell a baseball cap like that to someone who couldn't prove they were part of the unit, or as the author of the article says, any truck stop in America. When I was a kid and a Navy ship would pull up to the pier on Kwajalein most would have ship visits for the residents. We bought hats from all of them. I wish I had kept them because I had ball caps from U.S. Navy ships, French ships, Indonesian Ships, Thai Ships, and Italian Ships. By the moron twitterer's reasoning, I was a very confused sailor as a kid.

The 82nd PAO team was on point with their replies to all the baiting that went on over that picture. They did a great job in the mental gymnastics that occurred. What irks me is who instigated this, a former Obama era appointee. He's not the only one stirring the pot. The former President's photographer has an instagram feed where on an almost daily basis is comparing his boss' actions to present day events with snarky comments. The Dems blast Trump for his always blaming Obama but hey, he pushed Bush under the bus for a long time in his tenure.

PFC Leander Yazzie I want to buy that 82 Airborne PR person a beer! That was beautiful. I have never worn the maroon beret, and I never will, but I respect those crazy bastards who jump from perfectly good aircraft to kick our enemies in the jimmy. That PR person's responses were awesome!
