The admiral in charge of Navy intelligence has not been allowed to see military secrets for years...

If the guy in charge cannot get the clearance to do his job, he should have been reassigned. ESPECIALLY when his name was implicated in a major CORRUPTION INVESTIGATION?! They should reassign the SECNAV and CNO for them knowing this yet keeping him there anyway!

The CO of the JFK failed an INSURV shortly after taking over for things that preceded his Command Tour there. The fact that this has been allowed to exist on his watch, be it only 5 months along - he cannot plead ignorance of the situation. I don't think the JFK CO had been on much longer than 90 days...

Well considering the nomination has been held up in the Senate since September (what 4 months?) i think he gets a pass.

It's like hearing the current SECNAV, Ray Mabus talk: I've heard him in person twice so I know this is true - the guy talks so slow that I literally watched the seasons change outside while he talked. Former Mississippi governor - and.........he......... (Pause for five minutes)..........talks............(brb)..................slow...

At first glance, this seems like an easy issue to deal with. You get your clearance revoked, and then you lose your job. However, Admiral Branch hasn't actually done anything wrong, that we're aware of. If you read the article in its entirety, the Department of Justice indicated that this would be an open and shut case, but it has continued to drag on. With it dragging on, the Navy hasn't had any indication as to how it's going, or where the Admiral stands, good or bad.
So digging into it, it makes a little more sense why the Navy isn't putting their star Admiral into the penalty box quite yet. After all, and we should all know, once you go into the penalty box, you never come out.
