We call them Dining Facillities andDorms much more collegial. Except for the "Battlefield Airmen" the AirForce is a technical orginization operating sophisticated equipment. When necessary AF People are capeable of living under austere conditions, without the frills, but in peace time why not treat your people well and provide them a comfortable life style as part of retaining the very best technical capability.
