"Quiet Crisis"?! Are you kidding me? Have they not been reading the numerous articles on the issue? Have they not been truly listening to the SMs screaming about this for years?
I do have to give the new CSAF & CMSAF props. They are doing their damnedest to attack this, and it appears that the SMs are acknowledging it, too. They are getting rid of unnecessary AFIs. Giving commanders their command back; "We’re giving commanders the authority to take risk and to take action as they see fit,” said Brooke Brzozowske, an Air Force public affairs officer, “It’s not a one-size fits all, let’s get rid of everything [plan]. Sometimes it is going to be consolidating; sometimes it is going to be putting it in different areas. Different squadrons need different things”.

They can't find money fo additional resources? But they can find money for ever more expensive F-35's ... which will apparently lack pilots to fly them?

MAJ Eric Greek and they're making maintainers cross-train. So we have proficiency in a lot of areas, but no experts.
