I've been conducting clinical research on combat trauma and suicide. Despite giving these deaths top priority, the rate is escalating. Much of my research is available of Research Gate. I've conducted a number of biopsychosocial autopsies of suicides. I believe the VA does this as well. We know clearly the clinical risk factors involved.
As per my research in conducting root-cause analyses, clinicians sometimes miss the known risk factors. And they are devastated by these deaths.
