The Army will now give both parents convalescent leave in the case of a miscarriage, stillbirth, or loss after birth.

Understandable as its a death of a member of the family and gives them time to grieve.

Absolutely! I can't imagine going back to work immediately after the death of a child, and expected to be 100% effective.
