I was wondering when we will get the M4A1 I was surprised that the Army used the M4 with burst because even the Navy uses the M4A1 carbine. This always bothered me the Army could use automatic capability.

SPC (Join to see) - Me too. I'm partial to the barrel length and the furniture (stock and handguards).

SPC (Join to see) - Your unit still issue the M16A2? My sons unit still has them as well. Don't know that the length is any issue, but I'd like to see them upgraded to the A4 version with the flat top so they can use optics.

SSG Tom Pike - To be fair I had mine issued in a Combat Support Unit in the National Guard. All of our Infantry have the M4.
