Our families are God's choice and we should embrace it without questioning His will. That we often have question about the vessels by which God brought us to this world, it is normal. However, regardless of how we may feel about our family, we must continue to love it's members and to honor our parents especially. God is sovereign.

Generally speaking, I don't agree with practically anything in this article. It's the opinion and "great speculation" on the part of Cameron Day that any of this is even possible, unless of course, you are a Buddhist. The title is much different than the content. If anyone feels like a "black sheep" or "wrong family" then so be it. However, you were probably born into exactly what and where God intended. Behavior is a product of belief. You make choices based upon your belief. If you want to change your behavior then change your belief. Day is a "secular humanist" and rejects religion in favor of self and, as pointed out in the "About the Author" section, "...offers personalized, one on one energy clearing sessions to directly help more people to embody their own true, Divine Inner/Higher Self". So, he's a capitalist as well! :-) Nonetheless, I reject the notion of a Divine Inner self. On a side note, if anyone is interested in a thorough discussion on "Self-Control and Its Sphere of Operation", "Actions Voluntary and Involuntary", "Choice", "Man as Responsible Agent" and or philosophical thought then NICOMACHEAN ETHICS by Greek Philosopher Aristotle is just the ticket. Translated by Martin Ostwald, Published by the Liberal Arts press, Inc., 1962. Yummy! :-) Or, my personal favorite, The Bible.
