Excellent article, thanks PO1 Tony Holland ! My daughter recently went through her White Coat ceremony at EVMS, and the dean explained the history of the white coat (scientist lab coat) and the transition process from the historical black robes doctors wore (which were associated with Death and the dark arts) to the white coat of today (which is associated with science).
