How many RP Members are involved in brewing their own beer or involved in this booming industry?
Veterans have always been involved in the brewing industry, going back to the early days of the republic. These days, though, they’re more visible than ever, thanks to veteran-owned breweries with names such as Service, Honor and Young Veterans, and as liquor stores and bars across the country stock beers called Freedom Isn’t Free IPA, Devil Dog Stout or Boot Camp Brown Ale.

Sir, very interesting article, thanks for the information. I will be passing this along to post on my various social media websites. Now, to answer the question you posted. I will personally be getting involved with this trade myself. I will be growing hops in the future and directly supplying hop varieties to different breweries on the West Coast. Currently I am still in school pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Plant Sciences with a Horticulture option. I have yet to pick out any major(s).
Beer is part of the Military Culture, reaching far back into the earliest days of this Nation and overseas with the pilgrims back to Mother England. It is far older than that even, but you get the idea. It brings out the worst in us and the best, more so the best. Nothing like bonding over a brew and of course over a deployment. I prefer lagers and IPAs, but I never turn down a beer. Cheers!!!
