The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California is one of the most beautiful, and most photographed, bridges in the world. Construction began on January 5, 1933. The project cost more than $35 million, completing ahead of schedule and $1.3 million under budget. The Golden Gate Bridge construction project was carried out by the McClintic-Marshall Construction Co., a subsidiary of Bethlehem Steel Corporation founded by Howard H. McClintic and Charles D. Marshall, both of Lehigh University.

SGT John " Mac " McConnell awesome read/share, that was a lot of money back then. I walked the bridge on January 1, 1993.

Thats what they say now. Look at how many lawsuits the Liberals filed against the Golden Gate bridge during construction. It was one of the most controversial and contentious bridge projects at the time.

MSG Stan Hutchison - What about the folks suing that the bridge would obstruct the view. C'mon there were like 45-50 seperate lawsuits at least not just 4 or 5.

MSG Stan Hutchison - Actually my bad, I just Googled 2300 seperate lawsuits among them environmentalist groups, private citizens that did not want their view obstructed, etc. So yes, mostly Liberals. A few businesses included.
