So many appearances of robots in sci-fi have prejudiced our perceptions of them. We need to look past all that to see the truly amazing reality of robots and their first iterations in their evolution

I've embraced robots for over 2 decades. They have saved countless EOD lives on the battlefield and at home. I realize this article is gear a bit differently, but bottom line is that robots are needed now and in the future.
Autonomous? I don't know if we're ready to cross that bridge yet.
