Wicked stuff for sure, we had at least three strands of the wire up to keep the cows(milking type) and horses(draft and riding) in.

Tore my wrist to the bone climbing a barbed wire fence when I was 6....took 18 stitches to close it up!

I have pulled more barbed wire on my farm growing up than I ever care to see again. Sure keeps most farm animals in once they realize it is there...sometimes they would get out...and then we would have to go wrangle them back in in the middle of the night.
