So this kind of bothers me. Former East German Border guard running around Germany that still thinks there was nothing wrong about shooting at unarmed civilians fleeing East Germany. I guess I am surprised with everything that has been revealed about the DDR that this guy thinks his former role was OK.

just think, merkel is east german also.

Merkel renounced the DDR system and I think she was harrassed by it more than once, so I am fine with her being Chancellor. This border guard guy is roughly akin to a former SS trooper running around saying a massacre they participated in was OK.

I don't disagree, but merkel's actions regarding the German border are having a destructive effect on Germany. She seems to have more affection for the refugees than the citizens she was entrusted to protect. Why isn't she protecting the citizen's of Germany?
