I tell anyone who will listen that just because things like murder and speeding are illegal, doesn't mean criminals will obey those laws. There's no active deterrent stopping them.

The active deterrent is a armed citizen who refuses to be a victim. The vast majority of Criminals are cowards and will only go after soft targets.

This is a confusing article. It states that the guns were purchased in a gun store then further it states the seller was not a licensed firearms dealer and that he primarily used internet gun sites to conduct the transactions. It appears that the legislature needs to clearly define what the requirements are to be a firearms dealer vs a private seller using the internet to sell firearms.
