Thoughts on the continuation of putting more machines and fewer human beings on the battlefield? I'm concerned the more we as a species are removed from conflict the more we will tend to engage in it. Less deterrence because of no human cost to conflict to settle disagreements between Nations. Greater tendency for things to escalate quickly as our Civilian Leaders are relieved from having to weigh the lives of our warriors against their desire to impose our Nation's will on another.

There's a fine line between taking advantage of technology and becoming overly reliant upon it. I think there's no better computer than the one God put right behind our eyes and between our ears...but I also see the advantages of weapon systems that can be deployed far forward while mitigating the risk to our own forces.
