Little bit torn here. World-class talent and accomplishments to go with it. My problem is, we were both drafted the same month (April, '67). Although there was a lot more to it, his bottom-line excuse for not reporting was his religion, Islam, being the religion of peace. We have all seen how that works. Have to wonder if Jane Fonda is going to be at the services.

Controversial character that did some good with his life. I admire his determination. I didn't see any irony in the post. It seemed like a fair summary.

Thanks for reminding us LTC Tom Jones that Muhammad Ali was pronounced dead last night. The man born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr who renamed himself to Muhammad Ali in the 1970s pleases many fans with his performances in the boxing ring. He had a lot of glory in this life.
