It is a very controversial subject, and while much of what you are saying is true... it also seems to be one sided. The Romans did drive many of the Jews out of Israel, they razed Jerusalem to the ground and built an entirely new city (Aelia Capitolina) after plowing the old one into the ground. The Jews were not allowed to live in the city permanently again for hundreds of years. My impression is that while most Jews did stay in the region, a significant minority also fled the region. Their numbers were heavily augmented by proselytizing, however I don't believe it is entirely accurate to say that they had no link to Palestinian... a cultural link definitely existed. At the same time many of those who did settle into Palestine were Greeks and other citizens of the Roman empire, who migrated into the region once Aelia Capitolina was built.

Okay, enough with the propaganda already. You have every right to speak on RP (that is I'm assuming that you are a valid member), but I feel compelled to warn everyone who has the misfortune of stumbling on the postings of @SPC Greg Carr (funny, his name doesn't appear when I attempt to embed his name in this comment). SPC Greg Carr is either on a mission to deceive us or is himself of dupe of someone else's propaganda. This posting is particular is a dead giveaway. You have been warned.

SPC Greg Carr - who is questioning your love of America? It merely appears that you are clueless about America or simply can't handle freedom. Why else would you be proslatizing for a religion that opposes individual freedom, rights and self responsibility which are the heart and soul of America?

I dont really care where they came from. I like the Jews a lot more than palestinians, who happen to be people kicked out of Jordan in the 1970's. the Jews happen to be our allies while the Palestinians have bombed our troops and continue to fund and train people who attack us.

Umm. Pretty sure you have that a little wrong. The Palestinians were actually living in what is now Israel before 1948. That's why it was referred to Palestine before the creation of Israel. Go look at some old pre-WWII maps, you will see what I mean. The modern Palestinians were there first.
