I have half a dozen books in my library regarding Custer and the battle. IMO, he was an egotist with his eyes only on the White House.
I have walked the battlefield, as well as Sand Creek, the Washita, Wounded Knee, Slim Butte, as well as Ft Robinson, the death site of Crazy Horse. One can almost hear the crying of the fallen.
I hear none crying for Custer.

Who's buried in Grant's Tomb? Is that actually John Paul Jones buried in the crypt at Annapolis and how can they possibly be sure that it was Custer's remains that they exhumed from the Little Big Horn and reburied at the Cemetary at West Point?
Custer had more lives than a cat. Unfortunately for him he used most of them during the Civil War. Until you have walked that battlefield you really have no comprehension of the role that the terrain played in that battle. How close to the action you could be but oblivious to what's happening over the next bluff.
"The 7th Is Made Up of Phantoms" is an episode 130 of the American television anthology series The Twilight Zone. It originally aired on December 6, 1963 on CBS.
A National Guard crew in a M5 Stuart tank is doing maneuvers near the battlefield on the anniversary of the battle. Strange things happen, one of my favorite episodes.

I watched an episode of Legends and lies. About Custer. He left his fellow soldiers to rot in the sun. Rather then burying them. He lost all respect. Also the Indians had better weapens.

Capt Walter Miller - You are a pompous ASS. To think that you thought I was talking about him after that battle. I'm surprised you did not blame Bush. I forgot who I was talking to a know nothing Blowhard. And a whinner. You should go back to blaming Bush for everything. It's more your styke.
