SSG Shavonde Chase I never knew about this woman and her ultimate contribution to medical research. And certainly, I did not know the Johns Hopkins Hospital was one of very few that gave care to poor African-Americans. I enjoyed the presentation.

I don’t think she new that her cells were being used for research. It came out later.

SSG Shavonde Chase hmm, sounds like her descendants are due compensation and an apology. This is an unnerving development. So once it was revealed, is that the reason for her unknowing contribution being published?
