More pabulum from the NYT. What is your point about al-Awlaki? Was he a poor misunderstood radical that if we had just listened to him more we would have gotten it? He is dead and he earned his death. Who cares if he is considered a martyr by other radicals.

His message could have been countered. His message was everything Muhamnad ordered and Muhammad's second half of life showed.
Which Jesus does Islam believe in? The one who was murdered on the Cross and Rose from the dead? Or, s Jesus that was not murdered and had a family?
The sermons across the Ummah are getting troops for ISIS. Why do the Mosques and Maddressas preach so called extremism? Because, they are preaching the Koran.
The relgion/political system of Islam is death to Apostates, death to blasphemers, death to adulteres, death for drawing a pic of old Mo... Death, desth, death for the religion of perpetual outrage.
The true truth is different than the propaganda the world system produces for its own.

1. Nothing you said is relevant to the article. Did you read the article?
2. You know nothing about terrorism or how terrorists think. Listen to this: http://themadmamluks.com/the-first-american-jihadi-ismail-royer/
Also watch this series https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=026pU2dnIhM&list=PLutdSTmJ7bAJQaNrfGlijtvLsDcERufni
3. Probably 99%+ of mosques worldwide are against terrorism and speak against it. Have you ever been to one and listened to a Friday sermon? Do so and see for yourself.
4. The article is about opportunities missed to discredit the man publicly and denounce his message.

Nothing?
You posted an article that implied leaving Anwar alive would have helped the cause of moving Muslims away from so called radicalism. (It also implied it was worng to blow up an American citizen waging war on America)
Your post also stated the Ummah believes in Jesus. I ask you again. Which Jesus does the Ummah believe in? The Jesus that was murdered on the cross and rose from the dead. Or, the Jesus that was not murdered and went on to have a long live with a wife and kids.
Let me clear. My first post stated Anwar is following Muhammad and the Mosques and Maddresses are also following Muhammad. You are defending a cult of death.
Awlaki left the United States again soon afterwards and settled in London. Here, he embarked on a series of lectures at the Al-Tawhid mosque, a well-known center for radical preaching.[28] His reputation seems to have risen by leaps and bounds: In June 2003, a year or so after his arrival in England, he was a guest speaker at a meeting of the Muslim Association of Britain (MAB), the official arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the U.K. Following this, the MAB organized a series of meetings with Awlaki as speaker.[29]
They are all of one mind. Some are being supported. Folks like you call them lone wolves, or off their meds, Radical... Well, what did Muhammad say about the Infidels and the Jews? I know. I bet, so do you.
Muhammad's Father and Uncle (whose house he grew up in) were named after the one true god of the Kaaba. Su'en.
