I have had a P320 for almost two years, and it is one of my favorites. I have five SIG pistols, and the P320 is right up there with the best of them.

“This pistol is definitely easier to shoot, is a lot more accurate and should improve Marines’ qualification score.”
I seriously doubt that. I have a M17, and while I do like it and shoot it reasonably well, it is not the tool, but the workman. Too often, the military tries to fix people problems with more 'stuff'.
Want to improve pistol marksmanship?
Buy ammo and let soldiers hit the range.
Want to make folks think you want to improve pistol marksmanship?
Buy new pistols.
I will say, the biggest advantage the M17/18 pistols have is they are ready for a red dot sight. I put a Leupold DPP on my M17 and I do like a red dot on a handgun.
