CMC Gray got the force ready for Desert Storm, with a renewed interest in readiness and warfighting. Deja vu all over again (Yogi Berra). Marines win battles, but it takes all Services to win wars (and resolve by the civilian leadership), a rare commodity.

Military should always concentrate on one thing, and one thing only, combat readiness. Not political correctness.
