If you haven't read the resolution, I highly encourage you to do so. It sets the stage for Democrats to control every aspect of the impeachment to the point where if they don't like a witness or legal representation, they can dismiss them without cause. They're doing this 13 months from an election and this is totally one-sided and an attempt to remove a sitting President without support from both sides of the isle.

I agree that is being done but I disagree the resolution is doing anything but reaffirming it. A resolution is not a law or decision on a course of action, it is just an emotional reporting of how the House majority "feels". They cannot vote on impeachment as a course of action and have it be effective without it being bipartisan. So the resolution is going nowhere along with the investigation which hasn't turned up anything. Also there are far more than 2 Democrats opposed to voting for impeachment it has been reported several times. Which is another reason Pelosi choose the resolution path. It is a thin veneer painted over massive internal disagreement within the Democratic Party which sooner or later will erupt in a foo pah in public. They are appeasing the far Left with this circus at the expense of irritating the moderates.

Imagine the precedent this sets for all future presidential elections. They are telling all potential candidates, "tow the line or we'll kick you to the curb." It's laughable that they are trying to impeach/remove the current President one year before the end of his first term. That tells me that none of their candidates are electable and they know it. This whole thing is a political stunt, a sham and a waste of tax-payers' money.

It wasn't a vote on anything. A resolution is like a "sense of the Senate" it just measuring emotion or feelings it is not a VOTE ON A COURSE OF ACTION. Until the House votes on a course of action like impeachment then you just have a regular house investigation which the Democrats misleadingly call an impeachment but is more an abuse of power by the Democrats in the House. They will learn the hard way that the Congress is not above the law anymore than the co-equal Executive Branch. The Constitution will force this effort to fizzle out........just like it did with the Mueller Report.
