Mikel, we truly appreciate everything that you and Victory For Veterans is doing to help fight the epidemic of veteran suicides. I believe the entire mental health system in the US needs a complete overhaul, not just for veterans but for all of our mentally ill. Keep fighting the good fight, my friend!

SPC Michael Duricko, Ph.D The "walking-wounded", those with "invisible" disabilities, are still wounded and disabled. Maybe we need something even more special than a Purple Heart... How would we depict a "wounded-spirit" or "broken heart"? There must be some way to remind the world that those Brothers and Sisters didn't come out unscathed either, that their wounds are as real as the ones we can see.

CPO Nate S. Maybe we need a new mental health paradigm, another way of thinking about mental health.

Yes, we do have work to do. I believe that Will would still be alive today if he had had the resources we are putting together on WFL, but he didn't. The VA failed him, and they didn't have anything better to offer.

GySgt Thomas Vick Glad you have a good support system Gunny. I wish I could have helped Will, but he was gone before I knew he had a problem.
