I contracted Dengue fever while stationed in the Phillippines. Nasty! Wanted to crawl into a closet and assume the fetal position. I hope this research can bear fruit. I do worry that releasing Wolbachia-infected mosquitoes may have unintended consequences but I am by no means an expert and perhaps my ignorance creates incertitude.
