Not to be an a@@, but she dropped out of the screening process to even look at being screened to join BUDS. And she wasn't an officer, she was a midshipman (technically yes, but the article headline is misleading).

These courses are no joke and take out plenty of men.
I expect when its all said and done women will comprise 6 or 7% of combat arms jobs and maybe 1or 2 percent of elite units.
Despite the small numbers I am predicting they will bring greater value to the units then their numbers will reflect.
