It is sickening to read how interservice politics and egos were so involved in the process to honor these warriors. It's reminiscent of the way the spoecial ops leaders covered up the facts about Tillman's death for so long.

The folks trying to sabotage Chapman's nomination need to be relived of and command ans shown the door ASAP. He was left there by mistake, but the sabotage is intentional and poltical

I read this yesterday and although lengthy it is sad to believe folks at the top acted this way over inter-service rivalry. It does not look good at all to have in-fighting over the actions of those downrange. Especially since one of them gave his life, and the other probably didn't even want any more recognition. Reminiscent of MSOC Fox and ODA 574.
