What do you expect, it is not just a SEAL problem. We had a bad designer Drug type problem before I Retired 2013. We deploy same places they do and have same stress problems. I am sure if you looked at all the LD/HD Low Density type jobs across the board you will find this to be an issue. This is what happens when you go to the same tool box and pull the same tool out over and over again it is called overuse, and the tools wear down and eventually brake you do the math. I see it in my community and we are direct support for these guy's and other SOF types, plus support to Marine Corps. This is sad, but it's not just a SEAL problem. The other thing is the Military is a Microcosm of society and society is having this problem also. These are just well trained humans and humans have problems they are not super human.

CPO (Join to see) of course it is not just a SEAL problem. Fair or not, because the SEALs are so high profile, anything they do good is going to be hyper exaggerated. The flip side of the coin is that anything they do not so good is going to receive a similar treatment. I fully agree that if SOF are overused, they are going to get burned out. Is it worse to have a SEAL high unable to make a good choice in combat, or have a SEAL burned out unable to make a good choice in combat? Can't have it both ways. Thank you for responding. I was hoping you would put in your thoughts on this.

There are serval things with the video that I question. The one was the testing, they test out on deployment now. My last deployment Afghanistan, was on a DET attached too JSOTF_A (Joint Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan) and they tested all the time, when a team would come back to one of the main FOB's where the JSOTF had small established command camps they would get tested. I saw three guy's pop, we were getting ready to go out to there VSP/FIREBASE and about 3 hrs prier to convoy SP Steep off they pulled two of the 11B guy's that do security and one ODA (SF) guy for popping. Now I can see that maybe guy's on DEVGRU avoiding test as they do not deploy like white or Regular teams do. They fly in and out on mission sets than leave where as the Teams are there working for the Task Forces.
