The Portrayal Of Veterans In ‘Orange Is The New Black’ Is Appalling

“We are concerned anytime veterans are portrayed as a whole population inaccurately in film and television as it feeds into the general public’s negative stereotypes about those who served,” Bill Rausch said, adding that his group reached out to the creators of the show.

Veterans, Rausch said, are “as diverse and varied as the civilian population they volunteered to defend.”
