SSgt Terry P. - That's ok, when the soft people all spontaneously combust in ball of sensitivity and butt hurt, we assholes will remain.

This bothers me a great deal. It started out with the whole political correctness movement and is now at the "pussification" of America. I just don't understand how we, as a country, came to this. I have ideas, but no answers...

PO2 John Crutchfield That is because there are no answers. I will equate it to weight. Yes I am speaking from experience. You don't just wake up one morning and suddenly you are fat, it is a process that takes time. A bad decision leads to more bad decisions, and then one morning you look at the scale, and realize you can't see the numbers past your belly. So a decision is made to lose weight. So you look back and say where did it go wrong. There are a lot of small bad decisions that lead to that point. The only way to tackle the problem is to bring it back one good decision at a time. Same thing with the pussification of America. It didn't just happen overnight. It started with one group's sensibilities being catered to by the whole. That lead to other groups feeling that they should be catered to. This built on itself until we got to the point where you have to watch what you say to anyone lest ye offend. Fortunately for me, I am an asshole. I don't give a flying fuck if I offend. Not my problem. That is what it is going to take to overcome the pussification of America. One at a time we have to remember that when somebody is offended by what we say, it is their problem not ours. Mind you I am not saying to go tell your boss he is an ignorant asshat. Whether or not it is true, you will likely not enjoy the consequences of exercising your free speech at that particular moment. That is the reality, Think about the consequences. Do the consequences cause physical harm, do they cause great tangible personal loss? If the answer is no, then let it rip.

Wait a kid wore a marine T-Shirt? He is not old enough to Marine! Stolen Valor! KILL HIM!
Wow, sorry, the caffeine just kicked in. It amazes me that something like a picture of a gun can scare soft people so much. Hel, in most schools they have a JROTC program of some kind. That JROTC program may have a drill team. That drill team will have... rifles. Some even go a step further and put bayonets on those rifles. While granted most are not capable of chambering a round let alone firing one, they are still the form of a rifle. How is that different than a kid (from a Marine Family) honoring his heritage. I thought school was supposed to be about education. How can you educate when something so small is enough to freak you out. Have they eliminated history classes from curriculums? I mean let's face it world history is filled with armies fighting each other with weapons. United States History was born under fire and threat of violence. So if a picture on a T-Shirt is so scary, then U.S. History is like a horror movie. So in conclusion, get over your fucking self, stop being a candy ass, put on your adult diapers, and find a sense of humor.
