Having participated in IARPA's Good Judgement Project and others there is without a doubt an effort to be able to "see into the future" - IRAPA has a couple of projects, Metaphor and SCIL, that analize linguistics - morality is just one of the many areas of interest.
How this research becomes actionable that's a more complex issue.
