The stunning photographs that are like paintings

I was never very big on staging nor was I one of those who burned roll after roll of film but I was known to sit for several hours for just the right lighting. In one Florida state park I was known as the "Tree Whisperer" because I was frequently seen walking around and around trees for extended periods. I was looking for the right bark patterns and lighting effects.

There is a great deal of planning, preparation, and patience that can go into photography.
