I subscribe to this. When people asked me what I learned during four years of college, I told them "I learned what matters and what does not matter." That is, I gave minimal effort to the things that weren't as important as the things that did matter, which I gave more effort towards. If you try to give 100% to everything, you will eventually run out of effort and something that matters may become a casualty of your overzealousness. Learn to prioritize and use your efforts (both physical and mental) efficiently.
