Thanks for a great info share, I have never heard a 3-gun volley. Our Legion consisted of 7 riflemen plus commander and they fired three times.

our legion is 7 if you can find enough and 3 shots, we do the best we can, many elderly members and the young ones have to work

I was at the funeral of retired co worker{ I acually replaced him} WW2 vet in early 2000, Holding the American flag was another old friend, WW2 vet of most of the Pacific war. Wind was blowing , he was frail and about 90 years old. I didn't want to take the flag from him, so I reached up just to help out a bit . Afterward I got a big thank you from him and I hope I didn't embaress him. The gentleman has since passed and I miss him
