I do not agree, all white America was terrified SSG. Those, that committed crimes against their fellow Americans should receive just punishment. If not in this world, then the next.
America has come a long way. Then, to be derailed by the murder of MLK, JFK and RFK.
If any dark green veteran is under assault by anyone for their color of skin where I live, I can help lay down a base of fire.

Cpl Mark A. Morris, I agree we have indeed came a long way from previous times. I also agree it wasn't all of White America, if that was the case then no one - who was white - would have been fighting on the behalf and for black people's equality. I find it funny the "charged" words utilized in writing and reporting by media groups to rile the reader/listeners in that facet.

Well at least the original author of the article were honest in their agenda and admitting that they were not in search of historical accuracy but 'challenges illegal convictions, unfair sentences, and prison abuse.' Noble causes for sure but if one begins a search for abuse and the unfair, you are bound to find it? In the subject of the article, the farther back one looks, the worse the abuse but that is only if we ignore the progress that we have made as a Nation? I guess the thing that surprised me the most is that the authors totally ignored the black military veteran from before 1860's? Black Americans fought for OUR Nation from its founding and before...why pick the low water mark, unless you agenda was drawing attention to the mud?
The phrase that still causes me to wonder at the author's real purpose ' extrajudicial murder'? Not sure what this oxymoron was supposed to imply, but pretty sure I would not like it?

Great observations. I concur with you on your assessment. Extradjudicial murder refers to a time period of execution without trial. Essentially, they mobbed folks for false accusations.

Thank you for the information on extrajudicial murder, and I was correct, I do not like it. Violence in nearly every case is wrong and the same is true with racial bigotry. Too often, people think that bigotry is a one way street but this election cycle has proven this not to be the case...if there was any doubt before that?

MSG Brad Sand - no doubt about that. This election cycle has been very entertaining from a humanity standpoint to say the least.
