The travel guides that charted our world

Amazing to have access to those original works. Learning about those European explorers to the western hemisphere is the first time I experienced intellectual curiosity and was driven to learn more.
I wonder what treasure are to be found at the "University at Timbuktu (a very interesting collective and repository of knowledge from 11th century onwards. And I'm still unhappy about the Library at Alexandria being destroyed!
